ALEXANDRIA - The Alexandria girls swimming and diving team improved to 3-0 this season with a 10-point win over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Thursday.
Sauk Rapids-Rice put up 88 points in the meet but Alexandria’s nine first-place finishes made the difference as it defeated Sauk Rapids-Rice, 98-88.
Grace Urke took first place in the 400 freestyle and 100 fly, and in the 200 freestyle relay with Alaina Guenther, Rayna Holm and Jisella Haskamp. Haskamp took first in the 100 backstroke while Guenther won the 100 freestyle.
Rounding out the first-place finishes for Alexandria, Lauren Hornstein won the 1-meter dive, Summer Overland won the 500 freestyle and Brooklyn Millward won the 200 IM.
The Cardinals are on the road for its next four outings, first with a meet at St. Cloud Tech on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m.
