The star loves juicing and told the New York Times. "For me, it's about feeling good about what you eat. I do love turmeric and beet juices. It's so L.A., you can't avoid it." Jana Beaudoin, NBC-HWC Certified Health & Nutrition Coach Anti-Aging & Longevity Center of Philadelphia says, "They are both potent antioxidants, so they can help one stay healthy and potentially manage weight because of their anti-inflammatory effects. They are also supportive for gut health and digestion. Beet juice is low in calories, it will give you a nutrient and energy boost."

"I cook a lot, so that really helps," she told Elle . "You know how much salt and sugar and all of that kind of stuff you are putting in your body." Beaudoin states, " Home cooking means we are in control of the ingredients that go into our meals. Seemingly healthy foods at restaurants may be laden with added fat, sugar, and sodium. The servings in restaurants tend to be larger than we would prepare for ourselves at home."  Bishnu Pada Das, a personal trainer with the Crazy Athlete adds, " It's not just what you eat but how you Cook plays an essential role. We should adopt a slow cooking method. That means slow streaming, slow boiling, etc. Broccoli or cauliflower, when cooked slowly, gives more benefit to our body. On the other hand, fast cooking in dry heat produces carcinogenic chemicals linked to the accelerated aging process."

Ratajkowski doesn't avoid any foods, but does do everything in moderation.  "I like to keep it really balanced to give my body energy and also be healthy," she told Harper's Bazaar. According to Beaudoin, " A healthy and balanced diet is rich in nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, lean protein, and healthy fats. These macro and micro-nutrients help fight inflammation and disease. They also support satiety and balanced blood sugar which contributes to less cravings." df44d9eab23ea271ddde7545ae2c09ec

While Ratajkowsk has admitted she doesn't love the gym, she does like being outdoors and doing yoga. "I really like being outside and doing yoga, so I do a lot of hiking in L.A. and I have a yoga studio really close to my house that I go to like once a week," she told InStyle . Beaudoin explains, "Yoga is not only an excellent form of physical exercise, but it is also supportive for stress management. Stress (along with poor sleep) can greatly impact one's ability to lose weight, by encouraging stress eating, decision making fatigue, increased cortisol levels and more. Incorporating exercise and stress management along with a healthy diet can help you manage your weight."  Paul Warloski, yoga instructor with Simple Endurance Coaching adds, "Yoga can build a lot of strength and muscle if you are focused on the movement. For example, if you get into a Warrior 1 pose – and hold it, you will be building significant isometric tension in your forward leg and glute, while creating mobility in your right hip. And, if you work with your breathing, inhale and relax the pose, exhale and rotate your hips and shoulders forward while creating more of a backbend, you'll deepen the pose and build more strength.  Further, the breath practice of moving with your breathing can help teach you to keep yourself calm and deepen your breathing."

The 30-year-old is all about her protein, but prefers meat over plant-based.  "I'm a carnivore. I really like to eat meat. I crave iron," she told Elle. Beaudoin states, " Protein is important for muscle growth and recovery. A diet rich in protein (and fiber – plants are just as important) promotes satiety and balances blood sugar, reducing simple carb cravings. Muscle mass boosts metabolism and may promote weight loss."
