Police say Peter did not have anything on his feet when he left his home in Kings Langley

Police have launched an urgent search to find a pensioner who left his Hertfordshire home wearing swimming trunks and with nothing on his feet.

The 72-year-old man, named only as Peter, walked out of his home in Kings Langley at 7.50pm yesterday evening (August 28) and has not been seen since. In addition to the swimming trunks, he was wearing a pale blue top. Hertfordshire Police is asking anyone who sees the man to call 999 immediately, and anyone who may have information on his disappearance to call 101 quoting ISR 650 of August 28.

Hertfordshire Police said on Twitter: "Have you seen missing 72 yr old Peter? He left home in #KingsLangley 7.50pm this evening (Sun 28 Aug) wearing a pale blue top, swimming trunks and bare foot. If you have seen him or have info call 101 quoting ISR 650 of 28 Aug. For immediate sightings call 999."
