Zac Efron showed off his ripped physique while rocking just a pair of blue and white striped board shorts during a fun trip to the beach with friends and a mystery blonde in Costa Rica on Wednesday afternoon. 

After enjoying some time in the water on his surfboard, the 34-year-old Baywatch actor went for a shirtless run on the white sand before proceeding to chat with his buddies and a possible new love interest. 

The High School Musical alum, who has been single since his breakup with his his Aussie ex Vanessa Valladares in April after less than a year of dating, looked flirty with a tall and slender woman sporting a tiny black bikini.

As they huddled close together at one point, the blonde could be seen laughing while Efron looked smitten by their one-on-one conversation.  

Efron and his pals came prepared to hang out on the beach for the whole day as they came with their own bottles of water, multiple bags, baseball cap, sunglasses and camera equipment.  

A brunette wearing a white one-piece helped him set up a tripod to record their excursion.

His latest outing comes several months after his split from Valladares, who according to various reports, the star was connected with at Byron Bay's General Store café in June 2020, after they were introduced by her boss.

Two months later, in August, Daily Mail Australia revealed Zac had cancelled his scheduled return flight to Los Angeles because he 'didn't really want to go back'. 

Time off: The California native, who's been living in Australia throughout the coronavirus pandemic, has been busy promoting his latest film Gold Movie, which came out last Friday

He also stated Zac had been dating Vanessa for much longer than reported.

There was speculation at the time Zac and Vanessa had known each other three years before their 'official' first meeting at Byron Bay's General Store café.

Kyle, who is good pals with Zac, revealed on live radio it wasn't just a rumour.
